Empty Glass

Empty Glass

A Poem by Travis Ralston aka LIAR
"

An older poem I re-wrote and turned into a song.

"

I can hear you
From miles away
Your words are
Sharp as knives
-Is there a place where
We can go to
Where our troubles
Cannot follow

But I see you sitting there
Staring right through that empty glass
Tell me what you see, oh tell me what is there
Is it real or is it fake

Is this true, can it be
Or is everything so wrong
The things I say, the words we scream
Drive the wedge deeper and pull us away
-I heard your scream calling me
Up and away from a broken dream
Just look at me and lie to me
Tell me that I'll be alright

But I see you sitting there
Staring right through that empty glass
Tell me what you see, oh tell me what is there
Is it real or is it fake
Is it me or am I gone
