I Did Love

I Did Love

A Poem by Yaooooooo

I Did Love

By

Jose M Euvin

I did love

Unlike you

I loved you more

More than you could imagine

Place your hand upon my heart

And tell me how it feels

Can you feel it?

It’s been broken

By you

My heart never beats the same

Since that day you went away

My face

Will always have a smile

While my heart face its trials

Love!

What do you know about love?

Other than its meaning

A book can never teach its feeling

Love!

Just another tool you used for hate

In order to forget your rotten fate

Love!

To you is just another word

Because those books

Could never teach you more

All those times you cried

And begged for me stay

I always did

Because unlike you

I didn't want your heart to brake

Look at you now!

Unhappy like were before

Pouring out your heart to me

Crying on the phone

For now I’ll lied

And tell the world your name

Estella

This way I could

Explain your cruel intentions

Towards this poor fella

If they wonder how I got the name

I will never say

Take this secret to my grave

For my hearts been broken

And is time you feel the same

I love the way your emotions get conveyed to the reader, and (if unintentionally) the b alliteration gives it a real stark sound when its " been broken, by you"

Really good piece!

"Place your hand upon my heart
And tell me how it feels
Can you feel it?
It's been broken
By you"

Holy crap...my heart STOPPED when I read that. That absolutely took my breath away. Sent chills waaayyyy down my spine.

"Love!
What do you know about love?
Other than its meaning
A book can never teach its feeling"

Beautiful. Those two are my favorite parts in the whole poems. It really caught my attention and I felt my breathing stop. I LOVE poetry, writing, etc. that does this to me. Thank you for sharing.

I really like this.

I think most people can relate to what it feels like to have one's heart broken. You've expressed it here very vividly, in my mind. :-)

This was a really great poem, and it accurately captured the feeling of heartache. However, there were quite a few grammatical errors: "More that you could imagine" More than you could imagine? "All those times you cried And beg for me stay" begged? "Cause unlike you" 'cause? "Poring out your heart to me" pouring?

So, fix those and this poem will be spectacular!

1 of 1 people found this review constructive.

"when away"
i dont know if thats right or not.
it sounds nicer, but i dont know if its correct.
went away?
i dont know, i kinda liked when away.
its more lyrical.

"Love!
What do you know about love?
Other than its meaning
A book can never teach its feeling"

that was really well defined.
