Residual Sadness

Residual Sadness

A Poem by Hello, Goodbye
"

..a recurring imagery of a malignant dreamery..

"
I had dreamt of being free but it was all a fantasy,
Every time my eyes open wide, I awake to a despondent slavery..

it is a fact....
that path to freedom....is not an easy thing....
your lines...reflects that fact....
but freedom is not an impossibility......
in the end..you will attain it...
if you are persistent in your effort...

the constant need to come to order and clear the clutter can drain us mentally - we work every day to keep the inner beast calm (food, work and shelter)

Happiness in Slavery is a skill to be learned with grace. There may only be two lines here but it speaks to the crushing defeat of an unavoidable situation.

Very philosophical, and I love the phrase residual sadness, its one I can definitely empathise with

Ah...Dream state versus reality. Reality always seems to wear the harsh mask. I like your minimalist approach. You said and expressed a lot in few words. Great Work.
