Unrequited

Unrequited

A Poem by ZC0413
"

A poem about an interaction I had between a girl I have been hanging out with a lot lately and a boy she has a romantic past with, but is no longer dating.

"
Unrequited

Sorry,
but did you not feel that too?
No, really
I felt it coming from you.

My apologies,
but did he not know what I thought you had up your hat?
When you said “Yeahhh, sure you should go do that”

To him, in your way, with your

Inaudible, Lovably humble, Obliviously heart wrenching, Voluptuously volatile, Effervescent toned, Youthful, Obvious, Unassuming

voice. So perfect in pitch. And unflawed with jade from the world.

He wanted to walk away so why didn’t he?
Sorry, but didn’t you feel that too?
Doesn’t he feel it coming from you?
Doesn’t he see what I do?
Do I?

Is he
staying for you?

It took so long…for him to walk away
We waited,
waited,
and as he began to go, I felt it again.
It came from you.
It was coming towards me.

Or so I thought.
As you waved goodbye and left to be
with him.

Author's Note

Just tell me what you think. All ears open. All feedback is greatly appreciated. Also, it's a little bit of a cheesy love note with an I LOVE YOU message in it. I'm considering giving it to the girl on Valentines Day. Also, opinions on this are accepted.

You should give this to her. I liked it. Good luck and keep writing.
