Questions I Would Ask Her

Questions I Would Ask Her

A Poem by ZC0413
"

Title says it all I think

"
What, really what

can I do?

To get any closer to someone like you

Yes, just a little closer would do.

Where, seriously where

would I begin to look?

To even start hoping I might

Find someone so I’m not so took

by you.

Why, I mean why

should I settle?

For another soul

When I already know, yours is better.

Which, of all the reasons

I think you hate me already,

Which one in your mind do you actually

feel steadily?

Your smile is burnt into the backs of my eyes,

from the many times I’ve tried so hard

just to visualize what I didn’t realize

is not you.

So why can’t it be the real you when I open my eyes?

This was great. Beautiful and agonizing.
