Light of Winter

Light of Winter

A Poem by BluRaven
"

This song/poem is dedicated to my boyfriend.

"

A harsh and bitter storm cannot always be tamed,

Hence why nobody of it can be named,

One light was never enough to cast away,

The shadows of my pain- no, they weren’t.

Little did I know that so many would come and go,

So far you have stayed through it all,

Taken my pain away and that’s okay.

Here and now I shall say..

You’ve brought forth a light,

Shining through the clouds of night,

Evading all darkness that could conceal.

You’ve showed to me a life I could love,

You’ve showed me that once again,

I can deal and that I can feel.

Thank you for being the light of winter.

Storms of pain and storms of rage,

Brought me nothing but further misery.

A better life lies ahead with love instead,

Fate has never been so strongly by my side.

You’ve brought forth a light,

Shining through the clouds of night,

Evading all darkness that could conceal.

You’ve showed to me a life I could love,

You’ve showed me that once again,

I can deal and that I can feel.

Thank you for being the light of winter.

I can feel it all,

The whirlwind of life’s fantasy,

Imagination glimmers, hope shimmers,

And all the same,

You’re still in front of me.

You’ve brought forth a light,

Shining through the clouds of night,

Evading all darkness that could conceal.

You’ve showed to me a life I could love,

You’ve showed me that once again,

I can deal and that I can feel.

Thank you for being the light of winter.

Thank you for being the light of winter.

Thank you for being the light of winter.

A poem of gratitude, love and appreciation. And what's more pleasing to see is it's emotional voice, I think it's amazing how the poem presents itself to the reader the Poet's words... Great job! The title is lovely to, a true compliment...

Sincerely
Dhiman

A beautiful sentimental poem. I liked how you used the lines "You’ve showed to me a life I could love...."
