Alone

Alone in a crowd,
Funny how some don't bother to pretend,
That they care,
Not even trying to mend.

How are you?
So superficial, not real.
How do I know?
With you one word answer they walk away not bothering for another layer to peel.

Fake smiles all around,
Your answer is always Great,
They smile and walk away,
Their stupid question I hate.

Alone in a crowd,
Funny how nobody really cares,
Some pretend,
But really? Nobody dares.

This is well said but there are people that care. You may not notice them and they might not be too many but they are there. Anyway I really enjoyed the flow of the poem. As usuall a well written piece of writing.
