Home Among The Lilies

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer
"

Water lilies

"
Tarn of glass or churning tide
you clean the water as you ease the mind.
Your gift is your beauty.
You are a springtime treat
and I long for your blooming
my flower amongst the reeds

Thank you, Fran :)
I feel there is a deeper story then just a poem, I feel like you are deep in thought, and ready to move forward with a clear mind. Sorry if I'm wrong. Well done for portraying a story in such a short poem xx

Thank you most kindly )
Water lilies... ah! If only one could slowly, carefully lower self into water and see the 'up-close' of your poem's canvas, Cherrie, it's gentle hummmm of contentment, truly soothing. A few years ago I went on a short trip to Giverny to visit Monet's house and garden, saw the lilies, saw a few beautiful butterflies.. saw it all with hundreds of other 'tourists' wandering around. But still found that if i stood and stared and stared at the sometimes drift of a lily, i was there - silly me maybe, resting on its petals. Was weird, strange. Your lovely poem's reminds me of that time.. thank you so much.
