A rose contains

The deceased soul

Of a man

Up in heaven

Living in paradise

Drinking his fill

But always regretting

The deeds he'd done

Though forgiven.

A rose contains

His soul

His remorse

For in God's eyes

That is beauty.

Heaven is what we make of it, at the end of all things... I found it interesting that despite being rewarded with a place in Paradise, the character is still pursued by guilt... Excellent writing, thanks for sharing !
