A Good Night

A Good Night

A Poem by Yani De Los Reyes
"

There was a poem about morning. Now it's about night. :)

"
The sun has rested and slept in peace
The day grew darker and blacker
And tiny bits of suns appeared
In the blanket of darkness

It was a beautiful site to behold
One cannot imagine
Such wonder in the world
A pretty little night sky!

There is a good side in the darkness
You can find peace and splendor
When you're alone in the dark
It's not scary once you know it

Ah, the night sky
It gives you that cold feeling
When the nightly breeze passes by
It's so wonderful to feel

When it's night, it's the end of the day
It's time to give in and have a rest
Because tomorrow is another challenge
For us to face and explore

Good night to all
And may you have
A good night's sleep
Peace! :D

very nice descriptions and imagery! I think it need a little rhyming of some of the ending words in the sentences. Not too much, just a little would make the poem excellent. then like the other person said , if you move all the lines to the left or indent the whole poem it would be easier to read. but basically you have a great poem here just a little editing will do it!!!! keep writing you seem to have a lot of talent for writing indeed!!!!!!

Dear Writer,

Thank you for the read request! I'm sorry to get around to your read request late, because I'm trying to catch up. I've been slackin'! XD

Let me blunt: I think the structure you laid this out in is... distracting. I'd align all of the lines to the left. Remove the ":D" at the end as a poem is written to be of a grave mind, not to have silliness. I understand it is also something that must have life, but graveness is not a bad thing to have. Besides that, I think it's pretty good.

A few grammatical problems is that you need to add more commas, periods, colons, quotation marks, question marks, exclamation marks, brackets, parentheses, semi-colons, apostrophes... these things help a poem out.

Good job with writing. I hope you'll keep it up. ^_^; 8.2/10.

Sincerely,
S. W. Scaggs

This was really beautiful! I've always favoured nighttime over daytime, and I thought that you captured the magic of the night perfectly in this piece. Your descriptions were amazingly evocative, and I really felt like you had transported me into the dead of night! Haha, a great poem. :)

Nice and tranquil.. night time can be both peaceful and beautiful. This is a short but rest-filled writing that appeals to more than one sense .. there is just nothing as nice as a hot summer day's end when the night breeze comes to cool everything down.. also a nice break to regain one's strength for the next day. Good job..

I really like this poem. Your word choice and rhythm are done really well. I also like how the last four lines are seperated from the others. Whether it was intentional or not, it makes it seem as though it's just a little sidebar note, but also it seems to flow well with the rest of the poem. Great job! Keep it up!
