"Azriel, My Love, My Dark Servant Angel"

"Azriel, My Love, My Dark Servant Angel"

A Poem by Fréyjä Helvití

My dearest dark angel, how has come to be?

Had thou black wings faltered by poetic blasphemy?

Twas' dreadful manifestation of dying immortality

Injuring the paraffin of your blazing divinity.

Sweet, sweet infidel, by Eden has condemn

Now a moribund mortal by morbidity end

Will thou ever witness the spring time of glen?

would ever Saint mercy and salvation descend?

Oh putrid dark angel, you are nothing but damned.

With cursed golden bones obey thou master's command

You are forever vanquished from the promising land

I am the Master of the bones, pursue my demands.

Deliver dark angel, I bestow you my bidding

Like the great Saint Ashlar whom witches thought deceiving

You are not to betray me, my ever ebullient darling

So as not to hearken thou symphonies of mourning

My Saccharin dark angel, whose soul cost the artifice

I behold in thou eyes, marks of murders to suffice

Once imprisoned, once deceived to fulfill thou sacrifice

Twas' tormenting a reminiscence that thou greatly despised

My love, my dark angel, it is but sadistic obsession

Quench me of your musical macabre addiction

I am consumed by the perfume of thou infernal passion

My fallen dark prince, my darkest devotion.

I am now going to keep an eye out for "Servant of the Bones"...maybe inspiration shall take me and I'll concoct something as dark and gothic as this!

This poem is so haunting and reads like a true gothic poem you'd read in the earlier/ancient texts in the dark ages.

I can honestly say you're among the few writers in this community I greatly admire-- your work inspires the goth in me I've kept locked up for quite some time...and she's begging me to let her run freely again ;D

Anyhoot, this is going in my favorites!

This is beautiful , I love your use of the phrase "thou" in this poem. It makes it very unique and quite like a story or book , many that I have read at least. I like the concept of a dark angel and I just love your dark poetry.

Oh yes and you mentioned an influence by Anne Rice. I have enjoyed many of her books over time myself. She is quite inspiring.

I like your style, your words paint a picture of gloom and the macabre- of which it is hard for me not to be mesmerised by. Good work this...the title drew me in, and appeased my darkside :) Good write

You are evil in the most genuinely clever way. Cool name: "Saccharin". Is it a derivative of Hebrew text or Latin? It's super appropriate!
