The Ethics of Dogs

The Ethics of Dogs

A Poem by Judy Ponceby
"

Woman's Best Friend.......

"

Every dog I know
is honest too the core.

They work harder at pleasing
their humans than we do caring for them.

They love deeper
and show it with their beautiful soulful eyes.

And when peering over the edge of the bed,
they laugh at us having sex.

They fish for hugs and kisses,
and are patient beyond endurance.

They jump and leap,
and race for the door to take us on our walks.

They beg for treats,
do some tricks and beg for more.

They wash our faces,
and wag their tails to tell us how they love us.

There is nothing better than a canine friend.
to make our lives worthwhile.

LOL I always think to myself If you put your best friend and your dog in the trunk of the car for an hour which one would be truly glad to see you when you returned ';'Granted I would never do such a thing but a dog loves unconditionally a human always lays conditions to their devotion

As companions, dogs are so far superior to humans. Compared to my dog, I don't really like people.

This poem is really nice. It makes me regret not giving my dog the best life he could possibly have.

This makes me think of "dog politics", which can only be characterized as "ruthless".

If only a man had the loyalty of a dog...yet there are many who care for their dogs more than their fellow human beings...who would rescue a puppy from the pound but approve the death of unborn children. It is a most confusing world to me at times...perhaps I see things and situations too simply but I try in all my simplicity to remain tender-hearted to man and animal alike. I truly enjoyed this write...I'm a dog lover as well. ;o)

There is truly such a loving joy having a dog... they seem to exist to love and give.. Now, if we could all learn a bit of their ethics it just might be a happier world!
