I see you in myself

I see you in myself

A Poem by Mark D

You’ve been through all the necessary experiences
The suffering, scandal and vice
You only lack the courage to use them in your favour

The surface of your potential hasn’t been scratched
You could be on the rise in a way few people comprehend
It is remarkable how you remain so dependent

Where is your keen sense of purpose?
Where is your desire to amaze?

Relate to your own impulses
Develop an integrity that can withstand the ridicule you may face
Throw yourself into icy seas
The implications will redefine you

I want these things for you
Because I see you in myself
