No Kidding

No Kidding

A Poem by Neville
"

many a true word....

"

No Kidding

It’s not like falling off a bike

It’s more like baking bread

...

It’s not deep enough to drown in

But don’t kid yourself she said

Deny all knowledge, blame the brakes and faulty oven seal, and walk away with head held high and a look of knowing. This will be helped if you are wearing sensible shoes, a cardigan and smoking a pipe.
It also wouldnt hurt to throw in "trust me, I know what im talking about!"
Trust me, I know what im talking about :)

I think the lady has ill intent. Perhaps she didn't like it when the dough didn't rise? I'd stay away from puddles if I were you, Neville!
Thank you for a good laugh.

Having only one leg, I would surely fall off a bike if I tried to ride one.And I would surely bake my head. I mean break my bread. I mean--screw it, I'm gonna go bake some bread.

I'd prefer falling off a bike than bake a bread - the latter just is wayy beyond me lol

many thank you's for considering these four lines my friend, I am most grateful to you.. N
I think I'd rather bake bread than fall off a bike. Both of them though can be disastrous on occasions. Doesn't take much water to drown, in fact I've found myself drowning once or twice over the years without a drop of water in sight. Much to ponder on these two couplets Neville. Cryptic biscuits, food for thought.

57 minutes is pretty good in my book. :)
It's more like baking bread. All that kneading ... surely will yield a roll or two!
Shallow streams are just as dangerous as deep wells!
Your epigrams are packed with irony, Neville.
