A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Linked senyru

"

Tread The Boards, Carefully

Brutal lines are drawn

as we slip into decline

and love leaves the stage.

21/05/19

Dwindling Light

When we reach the stage

where kisses have lost meaning

there is no passion.

Cooling Ardour

Where once true passion

opened its welcoming arms

now lays a cold kiss.

21/05/19

Bleak Future

The cold kiss of death

overshadows any hope

when love is over.

21/05/19

Telling it Straight

When love is over

there's no simple way to tell

but straight from the heart.

So many different phases of Love... but tender is the night...
and even in sunlight there are flowers spent and day dreams in meadows sweet.
You have penned an epilogue of elegance. truly, Pat

Thank you so much Pat.
Really clever how you have linked these together in the way that you have. More than five here, for sure.

Oh no I consider I got myself a bargain :)
Aye, no simpler way to tell than straight from the heart, but sometimes denial works as well... I love the way you linked all the senryus into one poem. Excellent, in my opinion.

Aye, have experienced trolling myself, although of course, less than you...
Honest and true words written John. When the love had died. Impossible to rebirth. Outstanding poetry shared my friend.

About
Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
