Realization

Realization

A Poem by Mr. Deft Diction
"

This is more "natural" for me. The tempo and the flow, really. I rhyme because I'm hip-hop; but I'm really comfortable in this 'skin', too.

"

I thought of you today, and it felt so new,

looking into the sky, because I could see

seeded life in the womb of the clouds,

and my reflection in blue.

I promise you that for the rest of my life on this Earth,

that I will reciprocate always,

by being a reflection of you.

And I still struggle at times with being a man and...

trying my damndest to be as beautiful.

I long for the touch of your fingertips

as milligrams of bliss tingle on my lips,

entering thru my own cuticles.

I just want to hold hands and...

do it like we're 'going steady',

letting you know that these feelings birthed by our

consumation is both identical and mutual.

And I call you my wife because mothers make the breath possible;

but what you possess and bless my humbled self with is

life...

paramount and on a path toward its pinnacle.

There is no question about how devout I am,

as my tongue tastes every single syllable of your hummed spiritual,

when we....

sit in the crescent moon and

I try to impress you in school boy ways by throwing stars in the sky.

None of them really can compare to the twinkle in your eyes,

or be as inviting as your smile.

If I die tonight, I should hope that my request is granted

with you as my last meal.

I thought of you today, and tomorrow will only be different

in Julian days,

because this vibe is so nice, to walk away

would be the death of dreams and....

you let me know that those are real.

Please feel my....

Love.

I'm sitting here in my cubicle in my office reading this and getting all misty-eyed...

My mother's eyes read this:
"promise you that for the rest of my life on this Earth,

that I will reciprocate always,

by being a reflection of you.

And I still struggle at times with being a man and..."

and thought for sure it was about a mother ( I have 2 sons :) ) then kept reading hehe... but regardless... what a loving treasure this.. really beautiful.. will be reading more when I am not 'cubicle-bound'..... *sneaking back to work now*

I'm feeling your love too. Such expression of profound love. Your object of affection should be proud and take a bow for inspiring such passionate words.

Oh yeah, this is seriously good thought provoking and up for interpretation
I love your reference to the 'crescent moon' as I also make this reference in many of my writings
'I try to impress you in school boy ways by throwing stars in the sky.,
None of them can really compare to the twinkle in your eyes,
or be as inviting as your smile.'
This is such a compliment to your muse, this is awesome, I am IMPRESSED with this truly

This is most beautimous and so tender as if loving God through her and in. This nothing less than a hymnal and an act of worship that God measures as honor to the gift He has given you...
This piece is life essentially and truth elementally...

The make up of forever on a page capture to live beyond the time of times. A classic simply with a hint of complexity that pushes the reader to open up and let their imagination breathe.. That is artistry at it's best when it infects the reader with the inspiration to bring births... But in actuality this piece is not for the reader as much as the Subject and you paint her as if you have Michelangelo's Cistine Chapel in mind...
yet we are blessed to partake of it...
P.G. this is your Taj Mahal for Her...

Do that...

Lovely is not a word that even remotely catches the birth of life on this page...
and through this it is felt....
