Distorted

Distorted

A Poem by Samantha Tamburello

Wipe the tears from my cold, dead eyes as I slowly unmask my humble disguise.
The world I have seen, I wish you could know
But for now just tell me you'll promise not to go
For my heart is broken and I despise the day I discovered this world's sadistic lies.

I'm confused and alone, the world's so distorted
I wish we could go back to the day you said you "I love you"
Those words settled my fears, those words seemed so true
I recall those giggly conversations and smiles we sported.

You cannot believe anything in this lifetime, not even your own word
I have learned that even myself is against me.
It seems like life will get easier and you'll be free
But even rock bottom has a bottom, from whence I was screaming and you never heard.

Poem have very elegant flow and form. Even message of poem it's quiet heavy.I can feel broken feelings and frustration from human relationships. Your poem going quiet deep under reader skin. 6 hope one day you will write something more happier.
