All along I dancedA Poem by willwebInspired by reading Sylvia Plath todayAll along I
danced while
orchids fell sad between spaces
in cultured dreams, lined parallel
in time with my heartbeat Drowsy became
the sky when moon shadow
eyelids descended, slowly returning
the light to the sealed
envelope of horizons blushing Acidic melodies
sung in star
traced gaps breathe
desolate harmonies, and the
wind wails lonely in an arched flow Meadowlarks
hide, shamed by feathered tendencies, muffling sighed
echoes of love fading well
beyond each broken stone, while all along I
danced © 2014 willwebReviews
