Vitality of a Leaf

Vitality of a Leaf

A Poem by Briana O'Connor
"

answer to leaf challenge

"

In the wind they fly without destination,

Dancing with a spirit so free and simplistic.

Resting on grasslands and cobblestone paths,

Piling like hilltops of kaleidoscopic shades.

Beaming tones of auburn, glistening with gold,

They showcase a rainbow of colors so pure.

Their texture spreads music beneath wandering feet,

Crunching with a pulse to the drumming of a snare.

These beauties of nature, so careless to troubles,

Falling from trees with new journeys each moment.

Eloquently worded, beautifully depicted free verse poetry ... I thoroughly enjoyed this visual romp through leaf-strewn, cobblestone streets, Briana...

Stunning presentation, and very well executed.

Can this depict a way of life for us all? We fall but we rise and keeping moving on...no matter what the situation. I do the love the softness of the imagery in this and how each word carries the next. Such a warm piece.

It was entirely my pleasure. :}
I have no criticism to offer. I love it. Love that you capture all the colors of a leaf without actually using the names of the colors. Love the reference to the crunch of dried leaves sounding like a snare drum. Great write my friend.

Criticism is for poetry or people that need correction. This needed none. You are most welcome.
