This poem says a lot in very few words. One can read sentiments here that can be intensely personal and yet universal at the same time. One interpretation could be the one given by Horizon K. below. For me, the first two lines of the poem say everything really. John Keats wrote in his "Ode on a Grecian Urn", that
"Beauty is truth, truth beauty, that is all
Ye know on earth and all ye need to know".
And I think that applies here to. The beauty of poetry is what speaks to our soul. The beauty in fellow beings is what stays in our hearts. This isn't the superficial beauty of the words or the body, but a transcendental one that can communicate without any words being uttered. It is the beauty of that moment, that you will remember forever. And we all have such moments in life. An extremely elegant write. Wonderfully penned!

Wow, galing mo, Belle.

It reminds me of a book I read, and a movie I seen, as well...called 'the Lover'...the movie is steamy...it's about a young French girl who fell in love with an Asian man torn from the taboo of the times...the ending of the book reminded me of your poem, which is exquisite Passion.

Lol, I'm so rusty in Tagalog, but dito sa America...me and best friend and family always do Taglish...if we see someone showing off...we say, 'hella Mayabs'...we shorten Tagalog words...a somewhat Cali creole language.

Yes, you should watch the movie, 'The Lover'...it is very Passionate...okay, I personally, watched it many times because I was in LOVE with Jane March! I wanted a love like that...the sex scenes are explicit but tastefully done...but it is a true story...when 2 lovers are torn from taboo...but the illicit affair is poetic in itself. :)

Lol! I liked that - 'hello Mayabs'. Kung nandito samin ang tawag dyan language ng mga ' Kolehiyala'. We associate the attitude to the College Brats. Pero kapag sosyal maganda naman pakinggan lol. Parang ikaw nga, nai-imagine ko ang accent mo. 'Totyal' street language for sosyal..
