If you were there

If you were there

A Poem by Decaf

You hurt me

In a way that can't be forgiven

How do u know what i feel

You weren't there

You just assume that I'm ok

Well im not

I've been scared

And your neglect

Has hurt me even more

So how do you know what happened to me

This wasn't the first time

I didn't do anything wrong

They blamed me

They lied and you believed them over your own son

You  left me in the corner crying

Knowing that I'll stay falsely accused

Look at me when I tell you this

I'm telling the truth

But you just look away

You choose to not believe me

The next time could be worse

So I'll hide crying in that corner

It hurts to be hurt, yeah? And it's terrible that people don't believe you when you're telling the truth. I think you captured that pain in this poem. Good write. [:
