watching

 

She demurely upon a faded stump

In a corner of the growing garden

A little princess carved with care

Dressed in mossy fabric wear

 

Longside cherries and wild berries

And hedges built with laurel

Where spring’s birds invest in nest

And squirrels dart and dabble

 

Neath fragile palmated leaves

That gently twist with spring’s light breeze

Tenderly dabbled as those dancers are

By shafts of warming sun

 

Carved by a master

Set in place by loving hands

Presiding over magic garden growth

Where she quietly stands

On Van. Island, base of Mt Benson
been a long cold winter with very little snow, but it doesn't want to go away
To carry on blabbing, this has been a very unusual weather year which falls on the heels of other strange, weatherwise years.
If we don't get some substantial rain it will be a drought year, extremely rare, and quite likely forest fire city

yes, as the snow melts away she reappears for another season.
I carved this lady because the plant shop wanted close to Two thousand for much the same thing and I tend to squeak when I walk

I would squeak too if the price wasn't right. Great that you have carved her yourself. Got any pics of her you can post? I always enjoy my garden. Love the creative side of gardening. Much like poetry. You can create your own scenery :)
