miles apart

miles apart

A Poem by just take a breath

i lay here...

on the bed where we once lay

blankets clothed me...

tears washed my secret hiding smile away

seven states away...

still trying to make it work

im lonely, and filled with dismay

i know its going down...

but i only believe in your way

"we can make it"

he says, every word confident

"no matter what anyone says"

like the words were meant

silly boy

your so oblivious

i love you

but when your miles apart

i cannot in vision it

Aww. That is so sad. I love it, especially the line: "tears washed my secret hiding smile away".

You've expressed loneliness and desire with a keen emphasis on poetic
enhancement that the reader can feel, excellent job :)
