Overcoming Tsunami Blues

Dedicated to those who suffered through the Indonesian Tsunami in December 2004

Day I saw faith tested
clung to You through crashing waves
that overtook countries far east
and made people wonder

And ask why? 

Tranquility sets 
an answer to an unbelieving world 
comfort to know You, You know the outcome 
beauty out of tragedy

Is this guaranteed? 
I ask my Lord at night 
I'll do more than see 
and I'll give my life to You

Looked to you through quiet skies 
saw pure love given 
to those swimming through tides 
in forms of aid lavished on moms 
of babes lost in oceans deep

Peace came like a promise 
you'll bring an outcome 
beauty out of tragedy

Is this guaranteed? 
Hang  on the words You say 
I'll do more than see 
I give my life to You.

I call to my God 
who is steadfast when I fail 
comforts those who mourn 
labor pains of a new day 
on its way 
tell those washed away 
His love is guaranteed

It is guaranteed 
with pain came a light 
do more than you see 
I give my life to You

It is guaranteed 
and dawn will come for you.
