Couldn't Care Less

Couldn't Care Less

A Poem by AMetaphoricalSoul

The air is thick with your unjustified hate for me
It fills up my lungs and I cannot breath
It presses down on me and makes me weak

My life shatters in front of you and you look right through it
Unfazed by the fact that your feelings have caused me explicit agony
Disregarding my desperate pleas for mercy

You have cut me off from you
Completely torn yourself away from me
Violently ripping my heart apart in the process

You couldn't care less

I just lie here
Broken, mangled, mutilated
As you leave me behind
As you become indifferent to the carnage you have left of me

Slaughtered, Wrecked, Destroyed

This is resembles all those conversation I imagine myself having, you know those ones that run through your mind at night when you can't sleep? All those things you'd like to say but didn't.

I'd like to borrow this poem because it gets to the very heart of what I have been through and what's been left unsaid. I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd agree. Thanks for sharing, this is a great poem! ~ Nix
