Stranger

Stranger

A Poem by Taylor Ann

Today I saw you walking
down the hall
And I remembered
how we used to be.

I looked at you for
Acknowledgement,
Maybe a little smile,
or a wave, just to know
That you knew
that I was there.

But you kept your head down,
and kept walking,
Making us look like
The complete strangers I guess
We have become.

While it is sad when that happens, sometimes...it is for the better of both.
But that is just my opinion.
It (the poem) is beautiful, regardless.

I so know this feeling! You have captured it well, it's not that they weren't thinking the exact same thing right? But people lack courage, for fear of non-acceptance or for lack of social skills maybe...
