Dreams

Dreams

A Poem by wordman
"

"
Dreams may come
and dreams may go
like the beauty
of our first snow

They cover our minds
with tender bliss
as our hearts reminisce

Another place
another time
dreams come
from the portals of our minds

To people and places
we reminisce
and the loved ones
that we miss

Dreams may come
and dreams may go
like the beauty
of our first snow...

inspired by valentine ,and the dreams
of her late husband.

Dreaming of a loved one, is the sweetest of dreams. For even as we're about to wake. We keep our eyes close, just trying to savor every precious moment, we have with them. Lovely words and imagery in this.

Valentine is always inspiring and a treasure to read.

Beautiful--loved it,and my computer is telling me you reviewed one of my poems, but I don't see your comment, anywhere., so let me try to guess what you might have said--"Dear Sir, that was probably the single greatest bit of writing done, by anyone, ever!"

welcome :D
When I woke up this morning and felt the cold chill upon my bare chest I didn't think I would be enjoying such a full musky aroma of man poetry that, but for the grace of thor, I have come upon with thine own eyes today.

I can only thank you for giving birth to such a mind baby as this for me to cower under it's intellectually pregnant beauty.

You have truly outdone yourself and only by the graceful beard of Odin, have I come upon such a powerful musk ox of a poet. I tip my derby cap to you dear boy... please, impregnate us with your word wizardry further!

Feels like a song, I can hear its melody. It's romantic, beautiful, melancholic specially the last two lines. And dreams may come, and dreams may go like people, like the first snow. :)

That's the thing about getting older, we have lots to reminisce about. The memories are poems waiting to be born.

the birth of a poem..
Nice poem man. On a side note ... Did you know that Elvis was a BIG fan of Roy Orbison. I think your poem could easily be turned into a song. I play a few chords myself and I know these things :) ... But yes ... well done!
