A Poem by Olivia Danielle

Your words numb me

Until you tell me

You can’t tell me

I can’t fail you

I can’t not care for you

Don’t be selfish

I don’t like the last pages of a book

I don’t want to reach the end

So I put it down and walk away

You hurt me more than most

But I love you more than most

Tell me you love me

I don’t know how to talk you

I promise I’m telling you everything

You just can’t hear it

You told me you loved me

So how could you burden me

Don’t be selfish

I see me in you

I need to save one of us

I’ll make it you

I don't know dear Olivia. Some folk are stealers of emotion. You must save your self.
"I see me in you
I need to save one of us
I’ll make it you"
The above lines. Solid. You made the reader think. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

You are welcome dear Olivia.
here the tapestry of art i find:

"...I need to save one of us
I’ll make it you."

love makes people unconditionally faithful but only when someone loves another soul faithfully.

You are absolutely a true poet. I love how this one calls back to the one before and flows so smoothly. It feels like it should be in a book! It just fits so well and tells a heartbreaking, but gorgeous story. Thank you for writing so many masterpieces, and please keep doing so!

My pleasure!! (:
This is like another verse from the previous write as it continues the theme of broken love and struggling to grasp reality and understand just how this could be happening.
