Do you Hear Me Calling?

Written from the heart, as always.

Standing on the edge
Looking at the ocean
Black and calm
Do you hear me calling?
Do you hear me screaming?
"I love you."
Eyes watering
Blood dripping from my fingertips.

 

I picture you right beside me
Your arms around my waist
Lips on my cheek
Smiling; overwhelmed by happiness.

 

Just as soon as I wake up
Heart turns to stone
I sob; hugging my duvet.

 

Putting up my front
Trying to cover up the hurt
My heart's hurting;
Screaming from the pain within.
