The Tune Changes

The Tune Changes

A Poem by Anand Sehgal

Look at that one lonely valley.
When the sun rises,
along with the vermilion beams
a soft vibrant song  spreads
all over it.

When the sun sets ,
the moon shows up
 for the habitual evening walk.
An echoing, melancholic song
drenches the vale .
A silvery syrup is made in the black bowl
called 'The Night' ,
and as the fluent fluid hits the dark wall,
the wind column keeps churning out
the song- the Anthem of Void .

The tune changes its apparel again,
When the sun rises.

Thank you for entering my competition.

Straight away you set the mood, tone and place. I walk along with your words in hand, as lovely and languid as the moon you so beautifully depict.

My favourite lines being:
'A silvery syrup is made in the black bowl
called 'The Night'

It is us who make the night, in the sense that we call it. We have given it a charm of its own, a charm which you portray so lovingly.

Reader can see the same images with same clarity and intensity, excellent imagery and even can see as simile to phases and changes in life too, there are plenty of dark walls and anthem of void in life too, enjoyed
