Sacrificial Rite

Sacrificial Rite

A Poem by TamiViolet
"

I'm in a place, not certain where

"

Her fate lies on a predestined canvas

Of muted red

Darkness speaks truth though

Gifts are silent

Blindly, she searches for the magical

Key that will finally
 Unlock

His lonely chamber

Her spirit is gentle,

Ready to disclose

The one she has loved

Forever...

'Drink the blood that has patiently

Dripped from my heart into
This Sacred Cask...

As you feel its warmth

Rushing through your veins

Know...

I love you'

Can he see beyond Time's Regal clock?

Lift the veil of that which separates

Logic and Passion?

Sight and Touch?

She's coming for him soon

 Possessing

The Key...

To his Rebirth

'Meet me at the bottom of the

Spiral Staircase'

Tears shed belong to him...

For him...

Reaching within the nucleus

Of an isolated cell

Love hurts that much

A black abyss

She descends

Answering to the Dark Moon's call

Discovering the deepest place

That eats away at her flesh

She'll sacrifice her life

For him...

If one moment...

His Eyes See

Again, another masterpiece, you never cease to amaze me. You know I am a big fan of you, right? I can't wait when you, Dani, and I fiinish that collaboration poem, it will be sooo awesome!!

It 's always good to have your mind enlightened by others, ecspecially intelligent people on this site...and using themes or symbols, in your case, the Sacramental Wine Cask, makes the poem more interesting.

I still think you should publish a book of your poetry. It's smooth and flows well, and I really mean that.

This flowed perfectly. It's true... opening your eyes can make the difference of a lifetime. Your imagery and choice of verbiage creates a hypnotic flow of words. Very nice.

Apollonia, you are one of the best writers on this site, this poem showed your talent and your tender side. There isn't much I can say about this, I am lost for words. "THE CASK OF AMONTILLADO" salvation through repression. This is what I think of when I read this. Just so deep.

Apollonia, this's gentle on the readers soul, magical, sensuous, desirous, absolutely beautiful, words that consume the reader, as romance flows through the heart.

Deeply devoted. What more could one want? I like the crafting of this. The pic was a nice touch too.

I am touched by this. A bit disturbed. But then I've been called "touched" and "disturbed" before. Well penned. Write on! =0)

Wow! This is simply awesome!!!
So raw and dark!
I found darkness in each and every line...I really loved it! As I also often writes like this...So, I found it very close!
Whenever I think I have read your best work, you always comes with a new and a better poem than the previous one...And till date for whatever I have read by you, This one is really one of the best!
You are really growing as a poet and indeed you are one of the most talented writers here on cafe!

"Discovering the deepest place

She'll sacrifice her life
For him...

If one moment...
His Eyes See"- This is brilliant and so painful... It is just like you could give everything for him but your "everything" in still very small for him to notice! And this is really the worst thing in life...

Great work like always!

Red, darkness and blood...quiet a combination. Also like the mystery of who and where? Like the idea of lifting the veil to take a peep behind. And also 'Meet me at the bottom of the spiral straircase' which seems archly gothik. Down, dark, deepest...heady stuff!
