Woven Words and Soothing Swathes

Woven Words and Soothing Swathes

A Poem by April Child
"

My Soothing Swathes in response to Murph's Woven Words.. his text is black mine is grey.

"

Woven words

spun for you

whisper softly

from the loom

Awake to the sound

of silky tones

fine filaments

caress my ear

Each memory

a fastened warp

for a new weft

making room

Rustling bolts

of swishing silk

soothing swathes

pervade the air

Back and forth

in willowy knit

unfulfilled dreams

become known

This wonderful weave

our tapestry

wafts over me

fine as hair

As threads entwined

in rhythmic dance

find life in the

mesmeric drone

Drops and drapes

across my curves

gossamer sheet

of us I wear

…Fabric of you

   fabric of me

   fabric of us

  fabric of we

I didn't read your heading before reading your work.... I had no idea this was written by two seperate people, it seemed like it came from one mind! I have never thought of writing with someone else, so you just expanded my horizon! There is so much powerful imagery here that it is easy to get lost in the piece.... I always love reading poems that you can get lost in, it is kind of like being carried on a mystic wave! A very brilliant piece at the apex of literary marvel! Awesome job!

this is absolutely beautiful...this piece has such a soft sensual flow...your choice of words makes the concept of weaving fabric very dreamy...your thoughts and Murph's are "woven" together nicely and compliment each other very well...I especially like how you tied your thoughts together "fabrics of you...fabrics of we" that is very clever.

I sense you may have deliberately tied the last knot differently...

Absolutely mesmerizing... What a beautiful, seemless fabric you weave together! Such beautiful images painted with your words that flow like water from a spring. Incredible!

I feel as if you've cast a spell on me, I think I'm in love with your beautful words you've woven. Excellent.

This is very soft and warming, very well worded, you two mix together almost inseparably if not for color coding. Much enjoyed, I liked it a lot.

I like this. I actually think this would sound great as a spoken piece. As far as the the written form is concerned, I might suggest using punctuation at certain line breaks if only to better guide the reader. Otherwise, I really enjoyed this piece. Keep up the good work.

a beautifully written piece...the comparisons and imagery are wonderful. the responses match what murphy wrote so seamlessly...if you didn't know it was written by two separate people, you would think otherwise.

a wonderful write.

Once again, Bravo to the both of you
I agree with Kara that the word choices are beautifull
and the piece flows, like you two are mentally connected.
Makes me want to curl up and entwine with that spec someone
