Steps for climbing

Steps for climbing

A Poem by Arundass TP
"

Legs are heavy, heart is brave

"
Creeping over horizon;
The sun rises; crying;
Legs are heavy; heart is brave
Compelled to climb 365 steps
With thorns and sharp boulders
To see sunset on the summit

Each steps entertain with vivid dreams;
Carries the sack one attained; too heavy;
Compelled to climb;
To see such 125 sunsets;

It's final step and unique;
Legs are powerless;
Crawls to the summit;

It's time to close the book;
Of precious 125 chapter's;

Now it was too late; wondering;
To know the truth of mystic sunrise
...............,.....

I think it's the journey of our life. We started as the sun rising when we were young... But climbing many steps in life we are heading towards the sun set. But I think like sun rise and sun set both the phases are equally important and beautiful on their own. As we saw rising sun eventually we will embrace the setting sun also but with a weak frail body but brave mind. .. Beautiful poem

If you take a step a day that will leave 240 mystic sunrises after these steps set. And since you are dreaming as you climb, being out of balance is ok.

Nice flow of thoughts in the moving words in the poem. The precious 125 chapters. I would like to read. Thank you my friend for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

Thank you friend
sunrise and sunset, both can display immense beauty
what keeps us climbing, I sometimes wonder what and why, but the immense sun rising, flooding each day with its power, is a definite part of why

We climb and conquer and sometimes lose the mysteries of the universe as a result and I wondered if that is what your last two lines meant. I loved this poem, partly because I saw my very first sunrise the other day. I have seen lots of beautiful pink / red morning skies and more sunsets than I can count, but I have never (and I don't really know why) seen the sun edging its way over the horizon "creeping over horizon" and the absolute joy and hope that brings to the human spirit. Thank you for this poem - I enjoyed it a lot and apologise for any misinterpretation. I like what I like, but I do not always understand the intended meanings of people's poetry.

Thanks for review friend
I can relate to your beautiful post and enjoyed reading it very much. I live in Colorado and experience the things described in your poem quite often. Tomorrow I will be hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park and hope to experience once again these feelings you've described! And by the way.....I am in my mid 70's. ~Sharon

Thank you friend. Happy journey. Hope you will write your experiences here
Your poem describes my current climb at age 64, after living with chronic all-over pain for the last 20 years. I'm sick of this existence & I wouldn't mind dying, but there's something unquenchable about the human spirit in most people. I am compelled to continue climbing, even tho I often hate this f*****g mountain (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Be strong mentally.
I thought of the sun here being a person. Rising without fail 365 days a year, regardless. That takes resilience. I thought about me when the going gets tough. I miss sunrise and tend to spend more of the morning in bed. I get through life in my own way. That's what we all have to do. We are all on our own journey, however long it takes. I like where your lines sent me.

I don't know if we ever figure out the Karma of life...why the sun continues to rise and continues to set...and we keep climbing that mountain of knowledge and understanding, hoping to reach the top before our legs and heart give out.
