The Dream World

The Dream World

A Poem by Arundass TP
"

Appears and Disappears

"
In the mid of scroching heat
Painting with colors of rainbow shades
Seeing colorful flowers all around
Experiencing fragrance of red roses.

Walking slowly in cool breeze
Thinking of canopies spreading all around
Taking a piece of yummy cake
Sitting alone and eating it

Unless the world of sorrow, creeps in!
knitting threads of sufferings
The colorful world blesses
Until the heat waves touches the soul.

A moment in time where you seem to be so peaceful by yourself, one can reflect on peacefulness, take in pleasant surroundings, have a bite to eat; but when the world is in turmoil, sorrow sets in....and we suffer, because "the heat wave touches the soul".....a good metaphor and a lovely write.

The current heatwave in the US is very finely penned and depicted in this poem, dear T.P. You have painted a beautiful picture of Summer for your reader. I love the cooling breeze, enjoying the beautiful flowers, their scent and colour. Sitting quietly having some cake and just enjoying the view and watching people going by. So dreamy, but then the intense heat visits, so hot it would melt one's soul and one has to go indoors to try to keep cool. A wonderful allegorical gem! So enjoyed reading. Thank you for sharing, dear poet...

How a pleasant start with the merry flowery dream with their lovely fragrance then the reality hitting in the last stanzas of the scorching weather. Impressive read!

Can't have feelings without color!
The first stanza made me picture a desert for some reason or another, but I enjoyed the simplicity and descriptions involved.
