The Aspiration for Inspiration

The Aspiration for Inspiration

A Poem by B. Hudson
"

WRITTEN TO INSPIRE!

"
I stand not where I was placed, but near
going further would be considered a risk
a change in plan for which may not be in my favor
my feet are stuck as if they were glued to the floor beneath my frigid toes
the coat I wear is only to keep away the possibilities
they say dreams are what you strive for
awakenings are where you start
but my bed is quicksand and I cannot walk through the door of potential

so true...... when dreams become ambitions they come true..... but that quicksand of our thoughts... fear of the world isn't giving us way
Wonderful concept.... good job

Not wanting to get up and take the opportunity... that's a really common problem... sometimes due to fear or shear laziness. Good poem and beautiful description (even though vivid ... which adds to the beaury if this piece)! Nice read. Thank you for sharing! :)

Whoa I love this.
Fear can really keep someone in place/settling for less.
I mean that's what I got from it. But it's a great way to put it into words.

I think choices create chances or potential. And, I believe we are all potentiality.

'opportunity knocks the door only once' and 'fortune favors the brave':) This poetry is just the opposite of these two sayings which it tells in rather soothing way:) Hopefully this is just a poem and I wish you do reach your full potential and write more marvelous pieces:) all the best:)
