MIX MASTER STRAIGHT ARROW SPARROW

                Take that Rock`en Robin

I can tell you who rocks in the tree tops all day long
And it is not a robin like they sing in that old song
It's me, Mix Master Straight Arrow Sparrow the MC
I slip the lip that charms the Swallow and Chick-a-dee
And it ain't no common bird call like tweet, tweet, tweet
Once I start a chirping all the fowl are stomping their feet
The old Owl and the Big Black Crow just sway in the wind
When I spinning my rap, the whole bird world is my friend
So fear not that sound you hear off into the top of the tree
That tail feather shaking beat on Jaybird Street is only me

Thank you, jesserose99 introduced me to this picture with her poem http://www.writerscafe.org/writing/jesserose/1703957/ and we were hoping others would be inspired as well and create their own poem and share with the rest of us. I also have been waiting for someone to point out the mistake I left in the poem where I have it "mixer" master but it don't know if it is kindness that has prevented anyone from mentioning it, ShadowWhysper told me that was her thoughts anyway :~)

well bear, I loved this little exercise in image inspiration. the birds aren't the only ones bopping to the beat of this poem, cause I am as I read it more then once. I had to read it out loud you see, I liked the sounds it formed together. Like perfect little pieces fit in a jigsaw puzzle. Using all the names of the birds was so clever. Fowl, well, I never would of pulled that one out...not that you pulled that one out of anywhere.
Anyway...it was deliciously delightful, and real skill with rhyming ability.

thank you, it was a fun write and I could have used more of the songs lyrics but I came across the perfect ending so I ended it. Hopefully more people will read and be inspired enough to write a poem as well :~)
