I'll Be Waiting

I'll Be Waiting

A Poem by Beautifully Tragic xPoetry Queen
"

I've been to way too many funerals.

"

 I'll be waiting for you

When your time is near

At the Golden Gate of Heaven

I'll be waiting, here

I am never far away

If you keep me inside your heart

Thinking of me always

We will never be far apart

I'll be with you

In your dreams

And when you're feeling sad

Coming apart at the seams

I am watching you from below

In the skies of Heaven above

I am always there beside you

Sending you all my love

When the clock of life stops ticking

I'll be waiting here

At the Golden Gate of Heaven

Beneath the Evening Star

I will always be near

rayne, this is exceptionally touching in its heartbreaking, sad ambience which flows
through the meaning, to ponder the aspects of heaven, and to be waiting for
the soul departed, who is filled with grief and suffering, "i'll be waiting"
this speaks straight to the readers heart, on many levels, its comforting,
yet gently haunting, as thinking eternal thoughts, artfully concieved, beautiful, mike

I like how the poem itself is sort of mirrored. The creation, first, and then, the creator. Its beautifully written. The circle was well rounded and I look forward to future poems. Good job.

Ohhhh... beautiful.
I love what you've written her. 'Tis truly stunning.
I always found something like THIS was like taking up a warm, thick, soft blanket and wrapping it around your heart. Yes people pass and perhaps we can't see them physically, but they are always there. Always close. Always within a heartbeat away. You've expressed this eloquently.

Rayne, your inner soul shies brightly through the tears and sorrows that one endures with the death of a love one or family member. Thank you for sharing this precious poem with us.

Great piece of writing. So full of heart, it captures the trajic aspect of life while still a loving heart at the center of it.

You have done the near impossible ,
you have made something beautiful from
the impossibly sad.
This is no doubt the measure by which we
know true talent. You inspire and lift spirits
and you shower us with beauty.
Thank you !
