Crimson Rose

Crimson Rose

A Poem by Beautifully Tragic xPoetry Queen
"

Another personal.

"

Shedding her blood

Maybe then the world will see,

Splintered deeply by its thorns

Never hearing her silent plea.

So fragile in her delicate frame,

Afraid, underneath the world’s feet

Her beauty fades,

With every lie, broken in defeat.

Precious vanity,

Withering despair

Waiting for the darkness

As she sheds a lonely tear

When will the world notice?

How fragile one can be

Slowly wilting to her death

Maybe now you'll see...

Maybe its the mood that i am in today, but this poem is a cry out for help and understanding. From a world that is totally caught up in own petty concerns. Cutting herself, to feel like she is still alive and not a numb robot moving through life. Wish you didn't have to experience this, Rayne, but life moves to its own drummer. Thank you for sharing this very personal poem with us.

Oh the tears, why they have to die to be noticed. Your tender moments of expression allow the reader to feel her pain and sorrow as she waits her certainty. I love your touch.

This was very reminiscent of Dorian Gray for me.

When will the world notice?
How fragile one can be
Slowly wilting to her death
Maybe now you'll see...

It takes a good friend to see the subtle hints that something is amiss, here's hoping everyone has at least one who can spot it right off the bat and long before any wilting can be done.

Reminds me of the rose from disney's "Beauty and the Beast" movie.
Obviously a sad piece, very emotional.
Very feminine as well - the imagery of the fragile rose, "Her beauty fades", are the fears that lay mainly in the female mind.
The imagery is WONDERFUL!!
I've enjoyed and was truly moved - goes into my library. :)
