where ever the hearts may linger

where ever the hearts may linger

A Poem by Salar Majak
"

just something i wrote

"
Tell me...
Do the angels treat you right?
do they bring you news of the world..
news of us...wasting time... being alive.
of us fooling around.... with endless hopes

Do you from above see the night?
how it spreads the darkened shade...
slowly expanding to swallow the lights,
and rest silently waiting for us to fade...

Do you see the shinning sun,
above the sky casting rays?
do you feel the gentle touches?
and the kind warmth can you embrace?

Or is your soul too dead to feel...
is your grave too dark and cold...
scared we are to face what's real
for death is a mistry that's never been told.

Very nicely written, and quite an interesting subject. It reminds me of those satellite photos that are taken at night time and you see the illuminated cities on the map. Wonderful. My favourite part, however, was the title. It's a phrase that can easily be turned into a question, and the fact that you didn't was awesome, because the point isn't about what happens to us when we die, but obviously how we lead our own lives and cope with the loss of a loved one.

Brilliant.

A very interesting poem. I'm 1/2 Ojibwa. I remember walking into a hospital room. My grandmother had passed to the next place. I knew her spirit was gone. The body is just a suitcase for us. Go to a graveyard. No feel of life is there. I hope there are better places after we died? Very good question brought to life in the poem. I tell people. Enjoy life. We don't know where the next journey may take us. Thank you for the outstanding poem.

XD thanks sooooo much@!!!!!!!!
If we can feel something, then there's still hope for us. I think it's upto us to save our souls from dying.

A great thought penned here Aurora. Thanks for sharing it.

Wow this is soo deep!!! I often wander what happens to the souls of people who pass on... i don't beleive it is the end but where they go is a mistery to me... i surely would love to find out... not now though :P I've too many thing to do :D

There is some kind of ancient beauty in this, I can't exactly pinpoint. It is so very mystical, like an angel looking over earth. :D
