I Am Me

I Am Me

A Poem by Alice Crypt; Brittany
"

Another poem I wrote for school. It was for a project on a book I read called 'The Messenger.' It's pretty good for one of those cheesy school books we have to read. So yeah, I thought that this fit the book well.

"

In this place it's sunny all day,
Black and white are the colors we see,
One mistake and I am taken away,
They tell me I can’t do this,
They forbid me from doing that,
Everyone is the same, but I want something new,
A place to be what I want,
A place where it rains and snows,
Where the color is rich,
And the flowers may bloom.
Where I can be me, without being you, and everyone else,
I can be true.
