In The Mind Of A Rose

Just something that clicked in my head.

Captured in the complexity

And yet simple wonderment

Of dark and light

Where imagination's lightbulb

Gains the power of life.

 

God's graces for beauty and life

Surround her aurora of lust and love

Sorrow and becomes a wandering soul

Searching for the same meaning

Crossing paths with the voices in the winds.

 

The skies open up above her

Unafraid of death that lurks

Within the shadows of her past

And daily life, but never afraid

In the search for destiny and fate.

 

Twisted and swirling

Crimson gashes in her soul

The scars that will never fade

In the deadly silence of 'nothing left of me'

As her past causes her to fall to pieces.

 

She collects the delicate shards of herself

And moves forward without hesitation

With the burning thoughts of want

Holding close to her imagination and muses

That willfully stay within her reach.

 

Though her prickly thorns will never cease

To jab at her will and heart

She grows stronger as days progress

And ever more beautiful is her soul

All in the mind of a rose.
