Vile, bittersweet

Poison dripping into gullible ears.

Tell a lie, let it spread like wildfire

For the truth, in reality is a bore.

Yes, rumors. I certainly do question their existence, I mean, rumors spread all the time, and all it does is hurt people. Maybe there's some pleasure spreading it, but you're not being a Saint altogether. Your haiku keenly expressed the disgust one should have towards rumors. I liked the almost cynical approach on the last line. I hope people will understand the uselessness of rumors, to most I have been witness to, myself. I applaud your efforts, good job.

When words are spoken by anyone other than the source? They evolve with each extrapolated word. I live in a small town where I am isolated by small town talk. Rumors are one of the most destructive vocalizations of human kind. Your impression left is poignant and understanding...Your soul is beyond your years...
If only people could understand the boorish nature of unkindness...
