Haiku string about the Darfur tragedy.....

Angels weep and sigh

As innocent babies die

Winter in Darfur

 

Facades, and rich masks

Hide the opulence and greed

A world with no heart

 

Swollen black bellies

Starve unseen, and angels cry

Quiet pain unnoticed

 

Mothers watch mourning

No voice speaks for their children

I'm not a wiz when comes to the different types of poetry styles.
I know this is a Haiku, becaus of the below comment. Its beautiful.
"Angels weep and sigh" I like that line alot.

helpless mothers and poor kids...suffering and dying and yet we turn our backs and carry on with our lives...what a shame indeed !!
Such an intense haiku....brought tears in my eyes....!!

Oh and how hopeless and sad is a winter in Darfur!!! So many are trying to help, and politics stop most of the efforts!
