Field

Field

A Poem by Jessica L Auster
"

I was... angered.. aha

"

I ran through the field

In which memories lay.

The green grass of

Summer, and the lake

Where I spent with

Peace. "F**k everything".

I said, happiness and peace don't exist here

Anymore. Now only washed

Away moments, swimming

Through my mind. Nothing

Exists here. It's dead.

Nothing is right, and I

Look at the field from time to time, and

Think of everything he and

I shared together. I remember

That summer so well, and

I wish it never stopped.

I remember he held me

Close beneath the star-lit

Sky, as we slept in the

Summber night. Fall came

And winter is coming.

The lake is almost ice.

Mother Earth is dying

Right infront of me, and

There's nothing I can do to

Stop it. He and I are

Like a dying forrest, only

To be neurished with

Love. He once called me

His flower, but sadly, this

Flower is wilting. Only to

Be neurished with love.

May feels so far away. And

In my mind, I wish it was

Forever May. God is dead,

Aren't we all? F**k the

Female race and their

Slutations, stupidity, and love

To f**k up other relationships.

F**K IT.

Yes, there is quite a bit of anger felt in this poem. The anger propelled your words forward giving it force. Job done quite well. Thanks for entering the Missing Him, Missing Her contest.

I like this writing: and the emphasis on 'F**K IT' is definitely worth it as it shows the anger you feel and shos the reader this was written with 100% passion. You also used great phrass..like'he called me his flower but ths flower is wilting' and i admire your bravery at writing god is dead...people wud complain bout that but i agree with sometimes you would wonder where is He, in times of pain and suffering he's not here and we create our own happiness and you conveyed that feeling within your poem well. Its a very strenghthening piece. well done.
