The Deepest Blue

The Deepest Blue

A Poem by Neva Flores Smith - Changefulstorm
"

I stand alone on this canvas of the starkest white midnight blue from love's palette of hues..............

"

You lovingly painted me the deepest shade of blue

Softly wrapped me in a frame of golden hue
From the very first day you walked into my life
You painted me in your picture, without you

I stood alone on a canvas of the starkest white
Such a radiant speck of deepest blue
Smiling as you painted my heart into your hands
I watched from this picture without you

I am your masterpiece, one of a kind
Your own lovely creation of design to view
Forever to stand in the lonely halls of your flame
So hopelessly in love...with you

I stand alone on this canvas of the starkest white
Midnight blue from love's palette of hues
You can find me here in this picture without you
They call me......, "The Deepest Blue"

time can be a friend, it can also dim the brilliance of fond memories. that is why i believe in putting our happiest and saddest moments or experiences into verse or some other form of art. you have captured this very well with "the deepest blue"
once again you have touched a part of me with your art, thank you for sharing

It reads like Angel breath. A perfect flow from one word, one line, one stanza to another, building to a reserved climax. Absolutley beautiful and ephemoral. Perfect.

Thank you for the amazing poem. Photo allow the words to have life. Sometime we are lucky. Some people bring out the best in us.

You pulled one from the vaults, as I say. It's just as good as anything I've ever seen you write. You never cease to amaze and inspire me.

I love the way you play with the word "blue", and the concept of the artist using his art to express both his own distance from the subject and her emotional entanglement with him. The fact that he works lovingly, but that love is not directed at his subject but rather at his act is also significant, I think, in helping you achieve the pathos I feel in it.

Unlike a famous chess-playing computer, you plumb the recesses of human emotion to bring forth such beauty. For an oldie, it is a goodie.

I find strength in your words.. Being without the one that you love could most definitely send your emotions and plunge that love into the "The Deepest Blue"...
Your amazing Neva ;)xxx

A faulted beauty never leaves the palce of worship to the pain, well pennes, a good read.

as always I love your language crafting. the sometimes-rhyme, sometimes-not threw me off in trying to feel the rhythm. the picture-canvas- frame motif was worked well to create and imagery and a 'blue' mood.
