Beneath The EbbA Poem by Cherrie Palmersunset on the waterSwells capped black roll, beneath the ebb of a tangerine firmament swarms of countless schools of bait
swirl the waters with opposing motion leaving ripples in the wake.
The last trace of light calms the wind and settles the waters.
While the bobwhite’s song helps evening plums bloom a velvety black.
My moonlit cove shines for the days fleeting smile has ended.
As the first star of night glows, I put down my rod to
take in the beauty of life. © 2020 Cherrie PalmerReviews
