To the Wild we go

To the Wild we go

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer

Past the lane and past the del

Beyond the drink and thru the veil

To the Wild we go to the Wild you know.

Where flowers sing and whisper to the breeze.

As muted shadows dance in the valleys.

To the Wild we go to the Wild you know.

A land bejeweled forever Spring.

A land of color where hearts can sing.

To the Wild we go to the Wild you know.

A Fairytale, a twilight fib

Ageing backwards with every trip
We go.

A musical poem. Beautiful lines. Love to sing, but no ability to sing a song. Anyway good work 👍

This reminds me of the book “ Where the wild things go.” It’s an enchanting tale like a fable. A pleasure to read.

Thank you Andrew 😊
Love the song in this
It has a rhythm a chorus
I’m no musical expert but that’s what I felt
To the Wildside we go

Loved it !

I adored the poetry dear Cherrie. I need to find my wild-side again. This Summer. I will wander more and seek new places. We must know and we must keep our wild-side dear friend. Thank you for the wonderful and amazing poetry.

Kinda of a sleepy time poem
dear Cherrie! i was just out walking with Beauregard and feeling the wild of the forest waking ... the undergrowth is so dense land creatures easily stay out of sight ... it is a wild place ... a glorious place .. being drawn into it can not be helped says i! a living breathing poem and a joy to read

That is such a rewarding experience - feeling like we are apart of nature.
I want to go to the wild now. Pack up a cooler, sandwiches, chips, a lantern, blankets, bring along a radio and a good book. But I'll camp out in the back yard where there aren't any bears. I may have limited Wi-fi...I'll be roughing it. This was fabulous! It was light as fairy dust and I swear I felt myself starting to fly.

Your words have a sound of their own, not mere letters but soft areas that echo and create a unique way of being in step with.. something different, repetition.. not sure. is lovely, Cherrie. Read twice, wanting to twiddle my toes and gently tap on my lappie! Many nthank yous for nsharing and making another day start sweetly and.. melodically. xx

I figure the 2nd childhood should be better than the 1st cause we know what we're doing 🙃

Thank you so much Melinda. I am delighted you enjoyed this little post.
A lovely romp carried along by the repetition.
PS. (there is an agreement problem in one line you might want to fix: flowers sing and whisper)
