Will I remember the words of the "Well wishers"??
Mostly, no.
I do know that eventually the fog will lift.
Until then I will force a smile and try to remember to feed the children.
There is an entire sympathy economy out there. Monetizing our tendency to role play as altruistic people from time to time. I don't think people really care about each other beyond their immediate circle though. Social media created this myth that there is some kind of global utopia at our fingertips... but we have seen the results so far, when we get a chance to interact globally and "anonymously" and without real consequence ... we turn into animals again.
Also, watch out for the altruistic narcissist... those are some of the worst kinds of narcissist because they hide so well underneath what seem like perfect compliments.

I don't mind sharing how I feel with others. I'm an open book that way. I can own those feelings but I seldom share the moment with others. I've slowly lost most of my family not to mention the one person who knew me best. All I know to do is keep pushing forward. ( what happens when your dad was a marine).

Some are more lucky than others with how they distract themselves from certain inevitabilities. But it all ends the same. If it gets bumpy along the way we have to do what works for us, This life thing is extremely individualized... it drives everyone crazy in one way or another. No one is truly sane.
The now cam be so cruel.. hours equal days. But, dear luv. 'can manipulate time more than one thinks.. care for it, stroke it, love it and even more, rest with it. Sending you reality rather than theatre.(Cherrie(_
I have forgotten more than I can remember dear Cherrie. I am lucky my life is boring. I do the same thing daily. I do remember to buy pizza rolls for the grandchildren. Thank you dear friend for sharing the amazing poetry.

Dear Cherrie, you are in survival mode. Feed yourself and the children. Everything else can wait. So much emotion packed into so few words. Take good care of yourself while you are in the ravages of grief. Thinking of you from this side of the pond.

When fog lifts up, the sun will shine upon your paths clearly to embrace life and hope again; we are endowed to love, befriend and share all the ranges offered to us.
How wonderfully inspiring and encouraging it is to read this release of your words in such deep emotional relief, and in such a succinctly impacting way only You, with your unique skills and style, know how … the last line really touched.
Your words make me both sad and spreads a gentle smile across my heart, because I know (from personal experience) how cathartic poetry writing can be when most needed. And, you're quite correct … it won't matter what your well-wishing readers say, but that which is honestly and openly expressed from your own heart and soul will be as if golden ink has suddenly filled your pen.
Gift the beauty of sad poetic solace a glowing breath … keep writing, Cherrie, and spend some quality time outdoors in the wondrous comfort of Nature.
With all my best! ⁓ Richard 🙏
