Subdued

Subdued

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer
"

reworked this one

"

Lonely dust devil sweeping along this road of dirt,

you are driven by this southern waft. Ruffling feathers

as you pass, disturbing a roadrunner from her nest.

Pleasant wind your breath is spring, chasing away

that wayward wind of winter. Subduing it in your

subtle splendor; freeing up the Robin’s song and

now we’ll see the crappie run and the sun shines

both brighter and grander.

yes, this is Oklahoma, luv it.
We have a family of roadrunners that have made their home here at our place.
Such peculiar creatures. They follow me as I am mowing on the riding lawn mower, search for grasshoppers etc. Love this little bit. And Im loving our weather now.

How I love to see spring conquer the winter and rise up, bringing forth the brightest sun and the lifesong of the world. Beautifully rendered here with that mingling glimpse of hot on cold.
