I Am A Rock

I Am A Rock

A Chapter by Cherrie Palmer
"

a little morning bologna, while Mother and I wait on her radiation

"

I will be your rock

What is a rock; solid, hard, firm and unshakeable, better yet who is your rock?

It is so much more than what I just said, it reflects the light and absorbs the sun.

When shade comes its way it offers releif to those that find.

It is wet in the rain and smooth in the water, the fresh current flow give it character and luster.

It is not true that a rock is just hard but when you’re overwhelmed

it offers good ground. A firm place for your feet, stability aganist the wind

in the deepths of a storm that rock is your friend.

Saw a carver today,he let the rock talk to him, then he would shape a animal. like life would spring out of the rock amazing beauty, and of course some rock will give you fortune or fame, and when I climbed it was the protection I planted on it that held me,the cool embrace that propelled me to the top to give a view into the soul.

Goodness Cherrie! This work writes in granite the support you have given recently. How the world needs such love and devotion as this.

I guess I don't have a rock, or if I do, it's me. But I can easily understand the need for one. I'm glad you're a good, dependable rock. (Metaphorically speaking, of course)

Just like the rock all human beings have layers beyond what is seen if you look close enough.
